Hey all,

Here's the deal on Koni shocks for our bikes. According to Koni, nobody in the US has any of these in stock, they only delivered 20 of them last year. Koni had me call Newmann Auto in Camarillo, CA, as they are one of their biggest disrtributors. Newmann said that as the shocks are special order, it'll take 6-12 weeks to get them from Koni-Holland. The bike guy I talked to said the ride will be vastly improved, well worth the money in handling, safety and general grin factor. (Easy for him to say that, he's not spending $300 on two shocks!)
Newmann's price is $142.80 PER SHOCK, which is much better than Koni's list of $210 PER SHOCK. Newmann's phone number is 805-388-7171. The Koni part number is 7610 1530 SP8, which also fits Viragos. Thought you all might like to know.

For myself, I'm trying hard to justify $300, worth the bucks I'm sure but still hard to come to terms with that much money for two shocks. Why the hell is everything so expensive???

Tim
